The Ultimate Aquarium Monitoring and Control System

The HYDROS Control X4 PRO Pack includes two Control devices, the Control XP8 and Control X4. Combine these Controls to create a secure and impressive set-up for both saltwater and freshwater aquariums. Connect up to four sensor devices, including temperature sensors, water level sensors, and leak detectors. The device also includes two Drive Ports for powering pumps and solenoids and two Probe Ports for monitoring pH and ORP levels.

Connect up to eight pieces of aquarium equipment, including heaters, lights, pumps, skimmers, and more, to the 120V AC outlets on the Control XP8. Both devices can send alerts and notifications and connect up to 8 WiFi devices for added control on additional equipment. Control X4

HYDROS Control X4 is a powerful and robust aquarium controller capable of performing all essential functions needed to maintain a healthy aquarium without the need for extra expensive modules. Set up is quick and easy, making this ideal for both beginner and advanced hobbyists. Just one Control X4 can monitor temperature, pH, ORP, and water level, to name a few, and control pumps, timers, level sensors, and much more thanks to its technologically advanced design. It can be used as a standalone controller for saltwater aquariums, freshwater tanks, pond applications, or it can be added to other HYDROS Controls to build a more extensive system. The Control X4 operates on a HYDROS Safety Net and is rated IP65 to keep your equipment and aquatic life alive and thriving. All HYDROS products are engineered, assembled, and supported in the USA.

4 - Sense Port

The Sense Port is a new concept in aquarium parameter measurement. HYDROS devices include several Sense Ports. A Sense Port is a generic input port that can accept data from numerous different types of sensors.

Sense Ports currently support:

• Temperature probes
• Optical level sensors (single and dual)
• Capacitive non-contact liquid level sensors
• Rope leak detectors
• Point leak detectors
• Flow rate sensors
• Magnetic switches
• Push-button switches

2 - Drive Port

The Drive Ports provide switched 12V DC power for running small lights, motors, pumps, fans, and other accessories. Each drive port can handle up to 1A, and the entire device can handle up to 1.5A total. The Control continuously monitors the exact current being supplied by each port, so if a motor or pump quits drawing current or draws too much, you will be immediately notified.

Accessories currently supported include:

• Auto Top-Off (ATO) pumps
• Cooling fans
• Cabinet LED lights
• Solenoids to control reverse osmosis systems

2 - Probe Port

One of the most remarkable ports on the HYDROS Control X4 is the Probe Port. You can connect an ORP or a pH probe to the Probe Port but, this is no ordinary pH input! The circuitry is based on an ultra-high-quality input chip specifically designed for these types of probes. Each pH input provides digital galvanic isolation from the rest of the system. Galvanic isolation prevents interference with other accessories connected to the system like motors and pumps. Digital Galvanic isolation preserves the accuracy of the measurement by converting the signal to a digital domain before crossing the isolation threshold.

0-10V Port

The HYDROS Control X4 has 0-10V I/O (input and output) ports that allow it to control and receive commands from other HYDROS devices and accessories from other brands. A legacy automation system can provide input via the 0-10V Ports. They can control variable speed pumps and can also be used to monitor simple switch closures, like push buttons or float switches.

The HYDROS Command Bus is used to power the Control as well as communicate with other HYDROS devices for the ultimate failsafe.

Control XP8

The HYDROS Control XP8 is an eight 120V AC outlet energy bar and can control eight HYDROS WiFi devices with individual power monitory capabilities. Each of the individually controlled outlets is built into the HYDROS controller for the highest level of security. The two HYDROS Command Bus ports allow for a wired connection to any other HYDROS controllers to form a collective of all Controls in one. All HYDROS products Controls are engineered, assembled, and supported in the USA.

XP8 Features:

• The XP8 is a full brain that can share or take over the decision-making of a HYDROS collective. It is fully capable of taking over intelligent decisions based on the status of the collective and its inputs and outputs disconnected from the Collective.
• Control up to 8 WiFi devices like fish feeders, dosing pumps, and even additional WiFi power strips
• Command Bus port provides power add redundancy power to your HYDROS Collective
• Designed to pass ETL/UL Certification

• No noisy fans, the XP8 is completely passively cooled
• Optical isolation between the power circuitry and the control circuitry. This provides safety failure, and it isolates the control circuitry to reduce noise.
