Larger particles are trapped in the outer layers while finer particles are captured deeper within the cartridge. This design provides excellent dirt-holding capacity while helping maintain consistent water flow as the filter collects sediment.

Available in 1 micron and 5 micron nominal ratings, Hydronix SDC depth filters help remove dirt, rust, sand, silt, and other suspended particles from incoming water. Removing these contaminants at the first stage of an RO/DI system helps reduce premature loading of carbon blocks and provides additional protection for the RO membrane.

Constructed from 100% polypropylene, the Hydronix SDC depth sediment filters are an excellent choice for reef aquarium RO/DI systems, drinking water filtration systems, and other applications requiring dependable sediment filtration.

Specifications:

Model: SDC-25-1001 (1 Micron) / SDC-25-1005 (5 Micron)

Filter Type: Depth Sediment Filter

Micron Rating: 1 or 5 Micron Nominal

Material: Polypropylene

Diameter: 2.5"

Length: 9-7/8"

Housing Compatibility: Standard 10" filter housings
